**Status: In process - Seeking Inputs**

Comments Migrator by CWL brings source content and its associated comments into Discourse, preserving them together as a topic and its discussion. It requires [DiscussionBridge (DB)](https://discussionbridge.dev/), which makes and maintains the ongoing connection between the source content and its continuing Discourse discussion.

The source content supplies the topic; its comments become replies in that topic. DiscussionBridge and the platform adapter stay in place to maintain the continuing connection.

The plan is platform-specific migrators with the same initial comment-system selection in every edition:

- WordPress native comments
- Ghost native comments
- Drupal native comments
- Disqus
- Hyvor Talk
- giscus

The initial list is selected. Platform release order, supported versions and delivery arrangements remain to be defined. This is planned scope; completed importer coverage remains to be established.

**Help us understand your migration case**

- What publishing platform, version and comment system are you using?
- Approximately how many content items and comments are involved, and is the content staying on the same platform?
- Which details matter most to preserve—authorship, timestamps, reply relationships, moderation state, media or another detail?

Use anonymized examples when describing difficult cases. A separate feature request should explain the current obstacle and desired result, with a link back to this topic. Please keep private exports and credentials out of public posts.
